Modding usb pin spilt

    ok i dont have enough usb or fire wire pins to support all of the front ports i have is it possible to simply split those pins i dont care if it lowers speed it wont be useing that many things at a time but can i do it with out screwing up the stuff that runs off it. a cooler drive 6 and the 5.25 thing for the chaintech znf250 motherboard

    you cant split with out a hub

    do they make hubs that are for the internal pins or will i have to rig something up

    yes you can splice more than one together and have it work

    ok so what i need to do is take 2 of the cable that should go into 1 pin set and have one go strait into it and then have the other one with wires goin into the first

    Go4t is full of it, you can't split it. Both devices would be trying to talk at the same time on the same data line, which is like both people talking at the same time on a telephone: no one understands what the other is saying. In this case, provided you didn't destroy anything because you could possibly be feeding power to one device's data output lines, Windows (or any operating system for that matter), would get really really pissed at you.

    then what do i do i need it internal and in pin from like that

    You'd have to get a hub, and hack together a USB cable that goes Male B to 5 pin female header. For power, you can probably just take a spare Molex connector and hook up +5v. Might have to crack it open and bypass any regulator used on the power input (typically, you'll get a cheap AC adapter that outputs ~7v, and a regulator inside the hub will bring it down to a clean +5v).
