What resolution do you game on currently? If it is 1080P, I would take the 1060 6GB as it will give you plenty of horses and warranty is an important factor to consider.

1080p for now, but my next upgrade would be to 2560x1440 now the screens are a bit cheaper. Im running i5 3470 / 8gb ram / evga 600w psu.

Tough choice, in that case. The 980 Ti is closer to a 1070. That would be the better card for performance, but again, the warranty would be an issue for me.

2nd hand 980TI isn't worth the money in my eyes, too old and most likely no warranty, I wouldn't risk £280ish on one.

As someone who's just had a 980ti give up on living, get the new card.

Provided that they're both around the same price I would much prefer the new card with warranty. In my experience graphics cards have been far and away the most likely component to die.
