That's a great deal, but it's not worth a nine hour drive...

I'm considering making the two-hour trek, but I'm afraid I might not be able to get one. It's been publicised a lot, so there will be a lot of people there. The gates are opening two hours before they even start selling them. I'm sure there will be very long lines.

That's only a couple of hours for me as well. May be worth it. Oh and mattthegamer463 only "one per person", kind of makes it hard for someone to pick one up for you!

hehe I'm picking one up for myself (live in midlothian, they're selling them at the local racetrack)

You can't camp out which is what I was planning on doing when it was still kinda hush hush, then Henrico changed the location and announced it everywhere so now everyone knows. I'm still going by to pick up one.

Also it's limited 1 per person, line forms at 7 am on the 9th, official sale starts at 9am

It's not like they are going to ask for an ID? If they do, show them the *puppy dog eyes*. No one can say NO to a *puppy dog eyes*.

BTW, if anyone picks them up for me...I'll pay $150 USD.

Damn, what a great deal. Hell I'm sure they could sell them for $100 and sell all of them like hotcakes.

The link for the Henrico Country residents only is the link on in the first post. Its an thread that keeps getting updated. And yes since the county changed it to residents only I'm sure they will be checking ID's.

Ya, our drivers licenses say where you live, mine is Chesterfield, friend lives in Henrico (I hate him), so they will definitely be checking IDs

Fake ID's anyone? Or, I'm sure that a quick trashing session at 5 am would yeild a cable, phone, or other kind of bill that would probably pass by the people running it. Of couse you'd have to not worry about the illegal side to that ;O

HAHA, it is tempting to do it, I work in Henrico, I was gonna try to get an ID for that ;)

Reason they did it is because Henrico County residents paid for the laptops with their taxes

If they are unable to sell all of them to county residents, then they will have yet another sale for "everybody" to get rid of the remainder. So there is still hope.
