For size reference, the wire is wire wrap wire.

A little while back I soldered a SMT LED to a SMT resistor, added leads and glued the whole thing to a little piece of cardboard. It turned up recently along with a bit of red wax wile I was working with my heatgun. This is the result. Stealth LEDs anyone?

I think it could work with a glue tintable with vinyl dye as well. It could also be made to look nicer too.

    The images don't work.

As far as your idea, hot glue can be vinyl dyed.

intresting idea stealthing LEDs. I would like to see it in use in something though.. could be usefull to create a system on which it has no external features on the front and the LEDs would glow when the system is on.. so you cant see the PSU switch or anything.
Atleast I think its a good idea :)
