I recently bought an AGP ATI X850 XT as an upgrade from my very old PCI All In Wonder VE, and I’m having some troubles. I removed my old AiW card and popped in my X850 installed the catalyst drivers and had it up and running without a problem. Now I want to use my old AiW card as a TV tuner while keeping my X850 in as my actual video card. I tried just putting my AiW back in but when I did that and started up my computer with it plugged in to my X850 I nothing was displayed on the screen. I then tried starting up my computer but with my monitor plugged into my AiW card and when I did that my monitor displayed everything like normal until Windows XP finished loading then the monitor goes all black and stays that way. I know I could just buy a separate TV tuner card but I don’t want to spend money if I don’t have to. Well if anyone can help me with my little problem I would appreciate it. Thanks.

the only thing i can suggest and its probably not the cause of it, but its something to do if youve got nothing better.
check in the bios if the 'initial display' or something like that is set to agp.
    might work mate

    :)

Well changing my BIOS setting worked perfectly now I am up and running in Windows with both my X850 and AiW in my PC and the X850 is displaying everything correctly, the only problem now is that I need to install the WDM drivers for my AiW card, but when ever I run the WDM setup it only installs WDM drivers for my X850 and not for the AiW card, so I cant use my AiW with any TV tuner programs.

if i remember correctly they come as multiple devices on the same card (AIW). so you should be able to disable the display part of the AIW and then run the driver installation, but not continue with it. go and find where it unpacked it's files and install them manually in device manager. after that, cancel the setup. might work

I'm assuming the VE is PCI yes? Set first display device to AGP/PCI-E (whichever suits your fancy) in the bios.
