    Hi all ,

I am trying to use three video cards , with three monitors on one system running XP Pro.

First card is a Radeon 9200SE (AGP)(128 Mb)
Second ia a Matrix Graphics Mystique (PCI)(64 Mb)
    Third is a S3 Trio 32/54 (PCI)(64 Mb)

The latter two cards being quite old , but still in good working order.
All three cards work perfectly , but when in the same system only the first two will work , with the S3 trio showing as having a problem and has no resources attached to it.Updating driver etc. does not solve the problem.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you are out of IRQ's (resources) to assign the card so you wont be able to run 3 video cards on your current motherboard. I would suggest getting a nice PCI card with 2 monitor outs. But your agp 9200SE should have dual monitor outs, so use those 2 on the one card with the sweet matrox Mystique and you will get 3 monitors.

Well i dont think u might be able run these cards together. This is like X-firing SLI.

Actually its not X-firing SLI. As the cards are not being used to spread the work load. Each card is handling output to its own specific monitor.

Its just that the card / driver needs to be able to support multiple displays. Back in the day I can remember experimenting very heavily, and found that S3 based cards are very very fenicity when trying to do this. I had no problems running multiple matrox and TNT PCI cards in one machine.

if you are running out of IRQ's then go into the bios and disable everything you don't use like paralel ports etc.

    Lo!
Why not find a slightly better AGP card, like the £20 i spent on a FX5200 off good ol' flee-bay, and find something that will dual head happily?? my FX did perfectly well running dual monitors, even when running games on the primary.
