So the new HD generates that much more heat? I suppose you have one fan blowing out and one sucking in? Do you have a temp monitor in there so that you can see the temp difference? Isn't the unit's OS located on the HD you removed too? What makes the fans so smart btw? Ok, I admit it, I ask alot of questions. Seriously, I look like this all the time:
That's sweet! Should really cut those temps... Are the fans being powered of a molex splitter on the h/d power connection? Bard - I believe the fans are 'smart' as they have thermal sensors so speed up/down automatically depending on the temp IRC.
