V1000 Hard Drive Rails

    Those small 3-pack cages in the case's base - do they do anything with the vibration of your disk drives - namely, stifle or enhance it? I'm hoping drives in them aren't too loud as I'm considering getting a V1.2K, and let me tell you - a rattly drive would drive me insane. What's the general consensus on the noise level of these?

    I never heard anything out of my v2000, even with five or six drives stuffed in. They hold the drives fairly firmly. Plus the side panels on the case are so thick that it would be muffled.

    cant say iv ever heard my HDD's in my v1000, and iv got a pair of 160GB Maxtors. some times in the dead night i can hear my computer accessing infomation on a HDD, but its as quiet as a dead church mouse.
