My first reaction when seeing the overall condition of the case was "Poor case", but the white looks quite good - glad you painted it. Will keep an eye on this. :)

The White and Black look really suits that case, nice modding!

was the removal of the internals fairly easy? many rivets to drill? been meaning to strip my v1000 down to sort the divider plate out.

Its very easy to remove, about 15 rivets to drill if you want to remove the all structure.

    Go for it

wouldn't you agree the lian really didn't consider wiring for these bad boys. the long hole in the divider is just poor to run cables threw as it produces a rats nest of wires! hacking out some of the mobo tray gives great clearence if you want the smooth clean look.

also did i spy a danger den fill port in the windowed side panel. towards the front 120mm fan....

Its a blasfami to heart a Lian li case :nono:

The first thing that i think when i am working on a lian li its, don't scratch :dremel: and do it good at the first time. There no second chance.

The hole you see on the side is going to be a RESET button, but i am not sure it will fit bescausa of a 120 rad there.

I made some changing s on the inside, today or tomorrow i will take some pics from the interior.

i have never hurt a lian li. i mounted a single 120mm fan in the top of mine to help cool my 8800GTS. and cut some nice holes to pass cable threw.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with this, I've got the same case, planning to put a 240 rad in the bottom where the hard drive racks are, d'ya reckon it would get enough air (so to speak) from underneath the case? (apoligies for slight hijack)

Theoretically you will get better performance because all the cold hair will be at the bottom of the case (Hot hair is light tha the cold), you just have to chose if your going to blow the wind agaisnt the rad or extract the ar off the rad.

By the way, its a great ideia yours, just don´t cut a 240 rad hole on the case. Put a fan on the front, 2 on the rad and some crews to make some hight on the case, and the air will flow from the front to the rear, (it will come out at the psu fan)

Cheers man, so do you mean raise the rad inside the case so its off the case floor? Drawing air in the small holes in the bottom of the case and the front intake?

Yes, the rad of the floor, about 1~1,5 cm, and the fans on top of the rad, pushing the air down.
