Yep way too laggy even on the lowest settings. Just played the first 4 levels on a 2.4 ghz core 2 duo with 2 GB ddr2 ram. I'm guessing the macs hd 2400 was the bottleneck. I would really like see apple putting hardware in computers that's actually worth $2000. Mac users could finally get a taste of gaming too I still like seeing my sub $500 pc destroy a $2000 mac though.
Well the entire mouse on the mighty mouse is one button, the little ball on the mouse itself is the second. there I showed you one. The ignorance of these poor people amazes me sometimes. Oh and the word you were trying for was serious, not series. There are already several serious gaming cards out for the macs that can handle them. Try a little research before opening mouth next time.
Yes, eventually. The Mac Steam client had linux references hidden within it. If you browser Phoronix you'll see they actually got the login page up on ubuntu, but with it not being live yet you couldn't log in. As for Apple being locked down, I take issue with that. Darwin - the UNIX platform that the pretty OSX stuff sits on - open source Safari = Webkit = open source (webkit also underpins a lot of the default OSX apps - mail etc) Bonjour - open source Grand Central Dispatch - open source (and available to FreeBSD users soon) OpenCL - open source OpenGL - open source And there is this Clicky As for MS...well they gave a few lines to the linux kernel to allow for easier virtualisation of Windows on a linux host...that's about it. The hardware and associated device drivers may be locked down, but OSX certainly isn't.
you are wrong on the mouse button issue: mighty mouse only have 1 button on its surface, when pressing the ball, it actually presses the whole mouse down, activating the single button within the mouse. besides it functions as mid mouse click, to actually do right mouse click, you need to lift up your index finger, no ideal while gaming. for gaming cards, a gtx285 is currently the best gaming card for ridiculously expensive Mac Pro, the card costing more than my 5870, which has nearly twice its performance. all laptops are using slow, useless low end graphics cards, none are designed for gaming. apologies for my spelling. but the blindness of those rich people never stops to humour me.
