all who hate the new buy menus in CS source say "I" why? why would you? honestly. ammo costs like 50 dollars i hate valve and their stupid updates.
I havn't played it yet, but it did seem like a bit of a controversial idea. I'll have a play tonight and see what I think.
Anything to get the CS fanboys angry is good IMO, on gameplay side I imagine it's a pretty good idea, if everyone likes a weapon, then you have to pay a premium to get one. Although high ammo costs is a bit stupid, is it the same with stuff like defusal kits and kevlar too? Cos those things are basically essential supplies the everyone has.
Valve are just trying to re-invent CS:Source. To be honest they should be thinking of better ways to improve it, starting by attracting more 1.6 players to make the jump. Let's face they're just scaring them away, like they scared me away with the new radar.
I've always seen CS as a love/hate game. I've always thought it incredibly boring. Do people play it because it's fun, or because they are addicted to it? Every shoot out boils down to a 3 second skirmish of who's gun randomly sprays the right way and then you sit there and watch a 5 minute timer count down until you can spawn again and die in 3 seconds. All so you can just sit there and watch the timer... OH I'LL GET THAT GUY THIS TIME DAMN! ok....THIS time I'm gonna get thi DAMN IT WHO THE HELL SHOT ME OK, here we go, gonna go WTF WHO JUST TKd ME!! LAST TIME alright, gonna go A.....BAM! AH YOU AWP WHORE N00B OMG THIS GAME SUCKS Ok, this time I'm gonna kill someone
Like everything it is a matter of opinion, I personally like it because each round is completely different, yet I don't play it now because I feel there are better games about and half the people who go on the servers are idiots. I played DOD:S for a heck of a long time, yet I always missed actually talking to people. In CS:S you have the round end, in BF2 you have squad VOIP, DOD:S... you have nothing but bullets to communicate.
I've never really saw what people like about CS and DoD, it does seem like a love hate game, either you are obsessed with the game and can't play anything else (you know you've met them, they're worse than people who go on about WoW) or you don't see why people love it so much. I myself can't see the obsession, every round to me, is exactly the same, and unless you play it 24/7 you're not gonna do too well.
