Hey, first thread here. I am searching for vandal-proof buttons, ones that are retractive. The one I have now doesn't spring back, and that makes the computer shut off after 3 seconds.

So I need a power-on button, that springs back!

So I want an orange-LED, preferably in black, retractive spring switch, that can be shipped to Sweden, preferably within Europe.

A momentary or "MOM" switch is what you need. I'm not sure if FrozenCPU ship to Sweden but they have exactly what you want here.

    Edit:

If postage from the UK or US is prohibitively expensive, I'm sure one of us can order one in the UK and post it to you in Sweden.

It is the correct one. The LAS1GQ is a momentary switch, which is what you want. The LAS1GQ-Z would be a latching (push-on, push-off) switch, which you don't want.

There are six contacts at the back. Two are for the LED, indicated with + and -. You can connect that straight to the power LED header on the motherboard; voltage is correct. The remaining four are for whatever you want to switch. One pair (1 and 2) are "Normal Closed" or NC; pushing the button breaks the contact. The other pair (3 and 4) are "Normal Open" or NO; pushing the button makes the contact. You want to connect your Computer power or reset wires to 3 and 4.

Just an idea, but couldn't the one Ygd3n currently has be modified in some way? :dremel:
There wouldn't be a need to order a new one then :)

Nope. He'd have to crack it open and remove the latching mechanism. It's finicky and delicate and he'll most likely just break it.
