Yeah Diet and Zero aren't the same, Zero tastes more like normal coke, probably is packed to the brim with sugar derived sweeteners. Cherry Coke/Dr Pepper Cheesecake! (although Dr P goes flat far too quickly) Vanilla coke is alright, I didn't mind the odd bottle, but definitely not something I'd buy regularly instead of cherry coke/pepsi (Pepsi > Coke).
the bottle is the same colour as that orange tictac focus and btw u can get caffine free diet coke in scotland, I do really miss the full sugar caff free one tho
Caffeine free? What's the point? You might as well just drink sugar water and give yourself diabetes.
Actually, believe it or not I want to drink both sugar free and caffeine free ones. I get crazily addicted to caffeine for some reason and I don't eat/drink sugar, so diet drinks that have no caffeine are what I'm after. buchans: What's the diet coke sans caffeine called in Scotland? As for the difference between diet coke and coke zero; diet coke is an entirely seperate recipe designed to be a nice drink that tastes similar to regular coke. Coke zero is just the regular coke recipe with Ace-K and aspartame in it instead of sugar, but is otherwise identical. Personally I think diet coke is great and coke zero blows.
Plain Coke for me thanks. Pepsi is dire*, whenever I drink it, it just tastes of rank onions** And for those who say don't drink it then, If your out in a club/pub then you don't get much choice in which cola's being served (not T-total, but I don't drink alcohol that often) *Except Pepsi Max, which is quite tasty. **Note: I like onions, just don't want a drink that tastes of it. Especially if it tastes of rank onions
Mock all you want southerner I simply want a drink that won't affect my phsyiological condition (besides making me need to take a leak a few hours later). Currently the only ones available to me that I know of are Fanta zero, and diet Sprite/7up. It's quite surprising given the healthfacism that exists these days that there aren't more drinks catering to those who want to avoid both sugar and caffeine. I guess bottled water is perhaps a more lucrative market.
Correct me if im wrong but I think that most pop in canada is caffine free. We just have a lot of sugar to make up for it.
I wouldn't know, it's a while since I've been to Canada and I didn't really care about the contents of my soft drinks while I was there. I would be curious to know why drinks would be lacking caffeine in Canada when most other places have caffine in the same drinks though.
I remember seeing a news broadcast a few years back about it. Health Canada (or some department of the goverment) wont allow it. But I cant remember their reason. Really you dont need caffine in pop. Caffine is a stimulant, and if you want to wake up, just drink coffee instead. Caffine is also a Diuretic so you are going to lose all the water in your body if you drink it causing dehydration. Not to mention its also addictive.
Caffeine is a mild diuretic, the water you take in from drinking far exceeds the ammount you lose from having an accelerated urination cycle. Sugar is highly addictive also, but is allowed in drinks. It seems odd that it would be banned, but it does not surprise me that a government would show that much sloppy thinking.
Yeah, that wasn't too long ago either because I remember we still had properly-labeled Mountain Dew, which contains some caffeine. And then, down from the sky, they suddenly get rebadged as "Mountain Dew Energy" overnight. But most memorable of all were the hilarious Mountain Dew commercials. Those were awesome!
You get caffeine free Diet Coke in Tesco... at least you do where I live. And for the record, I live for Diet Coke
Hmm. How interesting. Does it state somewhere on the bottle that it is caffeine free? If so where, and is it distinct from regular diet coke there, or a replacement?
