How much do you want to spend?

What kind of TV out does your graphics card have? Composite (yellow phono connection) or S-Video (looks a bit like a PS2 keyboard connector)?

If it has either component or s-video then it shouldn't be too hard to find a suitable recorder. if they dont have those conections on the back then they can normally do it through scart via an adapter, but check with the salesman as the scart socket needs to be wired to do this. i.e. if you plug s-video into a standard scart it will be in black and white.

You're best off using the S-video output of the video card, as I don't think many DVDRs will have a VGA or DVI in. If your card allows for a dongle with component (Y/Cr/Cb) out, that would be even better, but not a whole lot do.

You can get cables that are VGA - Component. I saw one the other day. Dunno how much they cost, or if it'll even work, but I think that's your best bet.

    Most DVD writers will have
    - Scart Input
    - Plug input (yellow/white/red)
    - S-Video input
    - Digital audio input
    - Coaxial input

Some cheaper models won't have all of these, but at least some. So get one that has SVIDEO. Then simply get a SVIDEO-SVIDEO cable to from video card to dvd writer. And a audio cable to from 3.5mm headphone jack to white/red plugs. (or if your computer has optical audio, and the dvd writer has too, get that).

    Should work just fine!

    Good luck

PS: Avoid the vga-video thingies.. I don't believe they work that well.
