I'm not quite sure if this should be in here. If it shouldn't, mods please move it.

I can't think of a good way to describe this...but here goes anyways...

Okay...I'm looking for some interesting cables. What I need is like PS2 extension cables and a monitor extension cable.

They need to have the plugs on one side and tposrts on the other....

If anyone understood this...any help would be very appreciated.

Edit: This is for a mod I'm doing. I'm putting a computer in an old VCR and I want to extend the video, ps2 ports, and network too the premade holes on the back of the vcr. Unfortunately I can't cram the mobo in so that they line up :waah:

You can always go buy extension cables for them. Check out a local computer shop, you can usually buy 10', 15', or 25' cables for cheap. I'm not sure if you can get them smaller than that. You may end up chopping them down and soldering the connectors, but I wouldn't recommend that for video. ;)

Already tried that. The local PC shop is a rip off...and didn't have any. The guy acted as if he'd never heard of them. He's a $^#@ing idiot and knows nothing about computers!

Any idea where to get them on the internet?

    Edit: Just a little edit...

I need 2 PS2 M/F cables as short as possible and 1 M/F VGA cable as short as possible.

    Heh.

I'm currently looking at what will be involved in putting a mini-itx PC into a DVD player. One nice thing, if I don't mind using Windows for ejecting it, I can probably use the DVD drive that was already in the player.

Only problem I can see that I'm going to have so far, is getting the mainboard in, without springing for "half height" ram. :worried:

you can use a combination of things for the PS2: get a PS2(male) to AT(female) cable (they're usually about 6" long) and then an AT(male) to PS2(female) plug (about 1" long). the extra plastic on the plug should give you enough meat to attach it to something in the case. pics would be an incredible help with this. I did something similar to my HTPC case for the SPDIF and firewire ports.

if yor handy with a soldering iron make them yourself.

Radio Spares are international (im not sure what you have local in the States as an equivilent)

    VGA

you want one of 15-way plug and one of 15-way skt

and for the kbd+ mouse 2 of these for the back and a couple of these to plug onto the board, both the 6 pin varieties.

hope this gets you on track.

Psst, those are session based links, i.e. another user can't get there because the page only existed on your browser at that time. Please go back and just put the part numbers in instead. Thanks. :thumb:
