    im looking for a browser that will allow me to change what port im taking HTTP from (like from 80 to nobodyknows) and such. i dont have much use for FTP but i do need to reconfigure HTTP and anyything else could be nice too. im not looking for ease of use or extreem features, i just want something to display pags

    It's not the browser that chooses the port, it's the server. The remote port is always either 80 or 8080. The local port can be anything - that's the only port that the browser decides on.

    AOL is routing HTTP packets through an obsure port in an attempt to make all browsers but theirs worthless :grr: gona fix that. my sniffer reports trafic as being TCP/IP so i dont think il have an encryption problem. but thats why FF and IE give me garbage if i open them. so i should have it in the bag if i can take HTTP through something other than 80.

    I know back in the day....when i was a little kid and had aol and my parents set up parental controls, nothing would work outside of aol unless you set parental controls to mature or whatever.....I just used a keylogger and got on my dads account, changed a few settings and was good to go...

    yup!:D

    except hed know if i got a keylogger because he get a report on my activities :~/ actually id be fine if i could get on www.darkmists.org and use firefox. this AOL browser is a piece of crap and its slow to load all the extra "goodis" not to mention their attempt to indoctrinate me with pop culture. :grr: AOL is bad :miffed:

    and a 15 year old has the ability to do that? and im doing my best (getting rid of the browser)

    can somebody give me the syntax for the readhethtread smily?

    Well, you can type in http://xxxxxxx.com:81 (or whatever port) but what a pain to do for every site. Keylogger sounds nice lol. Or just change the parental settings when he's in the bathroom and forgot to log off :hehe:

    id much prefer setting up that HTTP redirect app that sinizter guy linked me too (if i ever find the time) and use FF, in short keylogger idea = bad idea. i get caught im in teh doodoo
