I also own some iw-11 and lots of iw-18 VFD tubes.
I would like to build clock/calendar with timer using IW-18,
    and digital thermometer using IW-11.
Do you have datasheet for those tubes ?

I have an original russian datasheet for the IV-11 and I made a datasheet with pinouts and measured specs for the IW-18.

I can't send email to you, send me your email address and I will reply with the datasheets.

Here's a page from a german guy that made a clock with the IW-18 VFD tube:

    CD :)

Hi, and sorry for bumping this old thread ;)

I was planning on using some (12 in total) VFD-tubes in an upcoming mod, but am a bit confused.
The VFD's I'm planning on using are IV-17's, and the only "datasheet" I can find is this one :

I think I understand the basics after reading up on how VFD's work, but am still a bit confused.
On the datasheet I see a DC Voltage and a Pulse Voltage listed, I hope I understand it correctly and that can be interpreted as 'OF'. If that assumption is currect I need a switching DC-DC psu from 12V to 30V and I can hook up 5 VFD's in series on the pc's +12V or 2 VFD's in series on the pc's +5V.

If this all is correct, can I modify turbokeu's linked circuit to meet my needs? And also I have no idea how much power these VFD-tubes will be consuming since I think they are static and not multplexed.

Sorry if I make no sense at all, I have this idea stuck in my head, but my electronic knowledge is very limited ;)
