A little while ago I saw a news thread that showed some kind of VGA or DVI splitter that you could use to hook up 3 or more screens and it would convert them into one screen. The reason I ask is because I can get about 10 LCD's for $200 through a friend and they are all the same size. Then I could make a moster 2x5 screen with 17inch LCD's. I know that I can hook up 4 through an ATIFireMV 2400 but i'd prefer an external solution so I can run them through my 7900GTX or my upcoming 8xxxseries Anyone remember the name of it? Also does dual link DVI imply that I could connect 2 monitors out of one port?
matrox triple-head to-go? and dual link dvi is for needing two dvi cables to drive one monitor. (like the 30 inchers)
incorrect, it means the connection contains another set of video signals for going above 1920x1200 in res. no double connection, no dual output.
Hi, i have a question about dvi dual link cable. I'm waiting for a 8600gt, do i need a dvi dual link to connect a 22" lcd? it's better or useless? and with a 24"? Thank you!
That depends on the screen your using, if its not being run at 1920x1200 or above, then you wont require dual link.
