Also from the Inq this lunchtime - VIA crows:

CHIP FIRM Via said a number of motherboard vendors including Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Abit, Soltek, Albatron and a firm called Shuttle will use its AMD 64 K8T890 chipsets.

Via is also showing off the K8T890 Pro, which includes DualGFX Express, a technology for supporting dual graphics cards.

The K8T890 chipsets use Via Flex Express architecture and can support up to five PCIe devices.

For example, Via explained, you can bung in a PCI Express X16 graphics card and four PCIe X1 connections to dedicated peripherals.

The boards use a south bridge VT8237 companion chip, and will also support USB2.0, 1394, Serial ATA, and Via's "vinyl" soundset. They support Sempr0ns as well as AMD64 chips.

Id have thought they'd use the '51 southbridge over '37.
