i think you need something to convert it or just buy a cheap vid card w/ s-video heres a link for a cheap card to do that cheap s-video card
If you're thinking along the lines of for HDTV, I am pretty sure you can get breakout cables that take vga directly to HDTV component video. Going the other way, from component to VGA, is much more expensive ($60 converter box)
At one point I think I did find a VGA to s-video cable but lit was after searching for a while and it was like 20 bucks for the converter.

Doesn't make sense

Yet it claims Please, check your PC & Video Card manual or manufacturer to make sure that your VGA card has TV-Out function capability to ensure this cable will work for you! strange
