So i am trying to figure out what video card to get for a mid-range video card.. I am trying to use old parts i have laying around to build this box, so not spending alot of money is crucial... So the last part i need is a video card... here is what i am thinking..

    XFX 4770
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150369&Tpk=xfx 4770

the card HAS TO HAVE s-video out!!!!

my price point - 120ish... i didnt want to spend over 100.00 but i figure down the road i might upgrade the motherboard/processor so i might as well get a decent video card now..

    processor: amd athlon 2.4ghz
mb - not sure the make

You may want to look at the 5750/5770. They are more expensive, but the idle power consumption is much lower, leading to less noise and power bill.

EDIT: Alas, no svideo on the 5000 series, a 4770 is probably your best bet

Yeah, the S-Video is more difficult to find nowadays unfortunately on GPU's from the looks of it.

I too was going to say a HD5770 would be good choice but then saw your comment on the S-Video.
