Alright, I ma building a system for ym friend who comes over every now and then, so it doesn't need to be spectacular. I already have almost all of the parts, except for a video card. But here is what I do have:

    EPoX KP6-BS
    Pentium II 450MHz (x2)
    512MB SDR133 (3 DIMMs)
    Sound Blaster Live! (CT4830)
    3Com Ethernet 10/100
    SIIG 5-Port USB
    7GB Maxtor
    20GB Western Digital

I do have a PCI Matrox card, circa 1995... but I don't want to use that...

Anyway, I was thinking about getting a Radeon 9200 128MB, since it is AGP 2x and cheap. Any thoughts? I really don't want nVidia, just out of habit.

Maybe I should dig up my Voodoo 5 5500 :D

i think a 9200 would be massive overkill for AGP2x. you'd probably get the same performance in APG2x as a radeon 7000 or something, which is going to be ALOT cheaper :p

    ATi Radeon 7000 Retail (Gigabyte) - $35
    ATi Radeon 9200 Retail (Gigabyte) - $69

Hmm, quite a difference... I guess I'll go with 7000-8500 series... or maybe a Ti 500.... ack nVidia!
