I took some footage of a wedding for some friends who live in america with a mini DV camcorder. How can i give them a copy? They dont have a mini DV camcorder, so I can't just send the tape. VHS systems are different, and quality is poor. So I'm looking at DVD recorders. But from what I read, most will only play in their own machines. Is there one which will record to play in any PC dvd player, including region 1?

Could you encode it into high quality divx, and put it onto CD's? I have a copy of the matrix encoded in DIVX, 578 megs for 2:17:00 and it is in very nice quality(640 x 304 ~24 fps), but for even better I could imagine getting 1hr ~1.5 hrs on a single CD.
