I'm creating a box with a NES, SNES, Genesis and a PS1. I'm looking for mods that people have done. I really want some controller mods but system mods would be good too. The only website I have found is this onehere but I'm not looking for them to be portable. If anyone has any ideas please tell me.
well, its not one of those systems... but here's my gamecube mod cube mod i've since fixed all the visible purple
Thats Cool! I have a gamecube but I'm not putting it in my case because I use my gamecube alot and I'm afraid I may mess it up. I used the same LED hooked to the rumble motor idea, but with my PS1 but I tryed to window the grips and messed it upbig time. So now I'm going to try to make my own controller but have no idea how I will do it.
I'm already doing something like that with a NES and 64. The thing in my sig isn't a CNC router case, but Custom Nintendo Case. It's putting them both into a plexi box, I originally was going for seethrough tinting, but I fudged the fabrication so now I have to paint the outside. What are your plans for switching the cables without doing it manually, like switching from the Genisis to SNES and back?
Thats a problem I have ran into because I have a one of those switches to switch between my PS2 and GC that I was going to put in it but it is only those red, white and yellow connections (can't remember the name at the moment) and not any RF connections which the NES,SNES and genesis run off of, so I need to find someway to switch between them. Right now I don't need it because I just got the outside made, not anything inside. I don't know how I'm going to hook all the controller ports this is the biggest problem I have ran into what are you going to do? How much are you going to take apart the systems? I'm not going to take them apart a whole lot because I'm kinda new to this. I have taken the top off of the NES, the SNES is going to stay the same just going to put it in because I can't take it apart, the genesis I'm going to take the top off and the PS1 is going to stay the same but I have windowed the lid and I'm going to put Green LEDs in it I hope it don't cause any problems with the laser that reads the CD I will probably hook a switch up and cut the LEDs off when it is running. I'm hoping to get a surge strip inside the case to hook all the power to so I will just have one power cord coming out. Here is a tip that you have probably already know, paint the inside of the case if it is plaxi-glass or anything like that it keeps the paint from chipping and getting cracthed. Also another cool idea is to before you paint it take a sharpie marker or some kinda of permanent black mark and trace a image and the outside of the plexi-glass and then paint the inside and when you look at it a certain way you see but when you set it on the ground and step back you can't see it, it's cool. Do you have any pictures of your case so far? I'm thinking about maybe making a project log but all I have is a webcam so the pictures will be sorry.
