having shot a couple shots on my new iPhone, found it suffers from pretty heavy "jelly vision". this is when minor movements are recorded making the video feels like shot with a camera stabilised using a jelly.

now is there any software, free or not, that will do software post processing of the .MOV videos, removing this shaking jelly effect?

basically post processing a video to enforce digital image stabilisation.

you can stabilize shakey video with after effects- has a motion tracker built into it

after effects is a bit advanced though.. there's quite a learning curve getting in but it's insane pretty much anything is possible.. here's a video copilot tutorial on it

    http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/stabilize_shaky_footage/

that guy's tutorials are pretty good stuff.. there's another guy named jerzy here http://maltaannon.com/ got some crazy ideas too

the basics are covered in after effects essential training at http://www.lynda.com/ if your just starting out

thing is the plugins cost a grip.. but after effects is so advanced- a lot of times you can create the same effect as a paid plugin

have vreveal.. it doesn't do a good job =E it has some good features though like the contrast enhancements and stuff.. but the shake removal it kind of ticks the video- you'll see what I mean when you use it

vReveal have a problem getting audio out of .MOV files (iPhone's video recording of choice) and as hippoz said, it's not very effective.

after effect looks daunting.... is there any easier method? preferably a simple batch processor to simply stabilise group of videos with a couple clicks.
