I'm after something dead simple to cut the beginning and ends off've video files (to edit a birthday video); it would be a bonus if it could also join previously split files (i.e., of the same type) back together. I've got a lot of different file types to work with so something versatile would be good. Freeware, if you've got it. Does anyone here have any experience in anything this ludicrously simple?
Even that's slow and complex compared to some of the splitters I've seen, and it meddles with the rest of the video's settings in output automatically because it's designed primarily for people who associate the word 'resolution' with the UN and who always install the Ask toolbar because it's free. Nobody got a standalone tool?
