Anyone got a set of these? I need some Pro's and Con's (no review site links plz) Just want to know the user's opinion on the set-up
I bought these when I built my dad's pc last year. The build quality is pretty solid. He hardly uses them and I haven't really sat down for any great length of time to critically analyse them properly. But I chose them as if I would have bought them for myself at the time. I played the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan and they can go pretty loud. The separation of the different sound effects is good. The bass is tight and not boomy like cheapo subs. I think they are the best in their price range. You will waste money if you go for something cheaper as it will sound nasty and you would need to spend considerably more money before hearing major improvements in sound quality in which case you may as well go for dedicated hifi spec, rather than overpriced creative /cambridge megaworks or similar.
