    tower climb vid

I thought, ah not so bad, lift then ladder. Then he stepped outside to continue and i **** 3 bricks side ways.

All i could think about at those heights is wind sheer and whip in the structure. I've been up a wind turbine, and at the top you can physically feel the whole thing shift around. There was a gauge that would give a read out of displacement from the central axis from the base. If I remember its about 60m off the ground and in a mild breeze we were shifting 0.5m in all lateral directions.

So I was only 200ft off the deck and felt a little nervous.

I've got scared on climbs as low as a few of meters I couldn't imagine free climbing to that height madness.

That takes some balls I'm sure there professional climber out there wouldn't climb that high without gear.

I actually like being at heights (wobbling around in a massive 120foot cherry picker is great fun) but i seriuosly could not do that.

Would it be so hard to put the friggin electrical box at the bottom??? lol

The guys jumping in front of trains really annoyed me.
The people who managed to dodge traffic like a boss were awesome. And is it just me or do Americans REALLY like driving into stationary cars by the side of the road? Is this some kind of national pastime or something?

First man said let there be handheld guns, then they said let there be ammo, and so followed under slung grenade and rocket launchers, until finally...the Davy Crockett.

They didn't think very hard when thy designed the Davy Crockett >_<

As for 'lucky', yeah, what's with Americans and 'crashing into cars stopped by the cops'?

We have this severe problem with our teenagers called ADHD. Seems they can't drive for 5 minutes without using their cell phone to call or text.

Iir, it would have been used in Germany to deny advancing Russian armour access into Europe in the event of the Cold War heating up. Those and chicken-warmed nuclear mines.

Seems a bit of a silly method to deny Russian armour access to Europe. "Yes, they can't invade, and all our men have 3 eyes and tentacles now."

They could have done with something that could fire a bit further, like an artillery piece, for that job. One that people could sit inside a little bunker while shooting it, so they don't get bits of irradiated topsoil on them ;)

It was a last ditch thing. The Russians had something like 50k main battle tanks with which to ruin everyone's day. To be fair, they would have probably been issued with NBC suits to lessen the effects as well as potassium iodide to protect the thyroid.
