Having said that, awesome vid. - I guess they do the shot by taking stills from two cameras, and then using software render what it would be like moving between the stills. Whatever it is, Its done digitally with some pretty good computing power.

Queue infinite comments about how he's a shoe salesman who should go back to selling shoes, regardless he has the money and influence to a) sell Fiestas etc to the US and b) raise popularity of Rally/Rallycross driving. Whichever way you look at it that's a good thing, I'm just hoping for a factory widebody Fiesta to raise its head for some mental boost treatment.

This, I think if you are interested, look back through his other videos in the series, one of them shows a row of mabey 6 cameras in an arc, which is how they get the shot.

Also as with all the comments so far and every comment after posting one of his videos, he probably isn't the best rally driver, but I don't think he exactly lacks talent with the way be throws a car about, I mean I bet most people couldnt drift a corner, let alone drift a corner which included a jump!

 

That is what you get when you don't have the possibility to train on the course a whole week in advance...

That happens when in USA they compete in this thing called rally cross, which has zero things common with rally. And what happens when Loeb goes to do rallye cross ? He wins by 10 seconds - on his second race (first one was the qualifier)

As for that video of Leob in the rally cross, he's just so much cleaner than the other drivers, there's no flamboyant sliding at all, only where it's needed. Whereas it seems Block wanted to get his ass out more than a drunk 18yr ****.
