Build Advice VII Impact I/O shield and Wifi antenna

    So I've had everything installed and working for a while now, I didn't bother installing the WiFi/Bluetooth module at the time because Powerline seemed to work fine.

    Now though, I realise that using the WiFi would probably give me a slightly better signal.

    Looking at the computer though, the hole that the antenna goes through on the I/O shield is covered by plastic. Does anyone know how to remove it?

    Will I need to take the whole PC apart to get to the I/O shield?

    Yeah now I feel a bit thick.

    I was being too careful before, just needed to push it hard with the tip of a pen.

    Hah, I felt exactly the same - they were really quite solidly connected and required quite a lot of force to push them out.
