Hi Right i bought my can of vinyl dye (paint) the other day and got round to doing a test run today. The subject was the front grill from an Akasa Hard drive cooler, simple beige colour nice and boring now look at it Lovely and black i tried doing a close up shot (EDIT: Made into links.. for the love of god, won't somebody please think of the bandwidth!) (Edit: have made them smaller sowwy didn't have photoshop installed got it now) But for my first attempt at Vinyl dye and using a paint can full stop i think it turned out quite nice will do the rest of my stuff now i now how it turns out i did 3 thin coats. Am planning on painting my Hard drive caddy x 3 All my CD drives and trays Minace my DRU500a the rest of the akasa cooler floppy drive and anything else thats plastic cause im quite excited
Im really sorry but i can't take that good apictures my hadns shake so does my head(i shake my head to focus due to my eye condition hence the ****s in the world take the piss) and i think that reflects on the picture taking, i used the focus button on the camer and held it as steady as i can will ave a go with a tripod, when i convince my parents to get a better camera i'll get them to get me a little tripod thing. best i can do sowwy
Yep macro mode improves the quality of close-ups greatly. And by the way, you can resize pics using MS word. Don't need photoshop or other fancy features.
Well I can tell whats going on from those pics (if thats any consolation (Spelling??)) Looking good.. Please remind me again what the name of the stuff from halfords was?
Its Called "Flexible Vinyl Paint" I think the can is Silver (im coloured blind don't hold me to this) with a black top and costs £9.99. Its in a 300ml can if that any help to you
