Planning Vinyl Dyes / Repainting Plastics

So I understand to get the best original finish for plastics is to use vinyl dye, and remember finding something on BT about this but lost the post and can't find it again.

I've heard certain brands are to be avoided and not sure what to get, I need a white Vinyl Dye and wonder if I can use TRG? I've heard Brillo is to be avoided?

I just want to get a black to white job that looks like this... looks good!

Edit. I know another option would be to use a plastic primer and paint as per usual. I'm trying to paint the plastic front panel on a Corsair 350D (and any other plastic parts).
