Ouch, although until very recently I didn't have much luck until my exchange was unbundled. When I was on the connect package it was pretty poor, mostly due to contention on the BT end and traffic shaping on the Sky end. LLU is a different world though, still jealous of the speeds Virgin are now offering
I'm not sure what I'll need a 120Mb connection for but I think I'll pull through (the increase in upload speed however is far more useful)
It's all good them doubling speeds and what not, but I and the majority of virgin customers have stability issues such as packet loss and high jitter etc. For gaming they are definitely no where near as good as the ADSL providers.
What planet are you on? My virgin 10mb handles games perfectly. I have a ping of 10-20 almost no jitter and in game pings are less than 70. Sent from Bittech Android app
This man speaketh the truth. I'm on 50mb and I have little to no jitter, my ping is between 10 and 20 and I'm usually sitting on a ping of about 30 - 40 when I'm playing swtor.
Ohh nice. My 20Mb will be upgraded to 60Mb in April-July. That'll be a nice hike in speeds. Don't worry, I always spare a thought for others though. I was at my parents over christmas, and they're stuck on 28Kb/s and massive ping rates, which is painful. That's what living in rural mid-Wales get's you!
