Hey all, I decided to go with VM 50mb broadband, all was going well until later on during the installation day. Basically everyone was running late other than the guy who came at 1pm on the dot to setup and install the modem etc in my house but couldnt because the other two teams where running behind due to previous jobs taking longer than expected...so basically I didnt have a cable running from the VM exchange to my house already threaded to my house, nor could the other guys install the outside box and wire to my bedroom wall side of the house... When VM construction team arrived they got on very niceley threading the rod from my house to the first service hole and threading the cable through, it wasnt until the second threading where they hit a snag (the VM exchange box was down another street from mine!), there was a kink or something in the piping on the second leg of the threading so the rod couldnt bend to get to where it was meant to go and due to this they couldnt finish the installation at all! So VM rang me up today saying my house wasnt servicable due to this although one of the VM guys said to me before they left on sat that they would most likely would have to do some construction work, now this is where im confused I get told this and then the SC say I cant get the 50mb broadband service when it seems to be obvious what the solution is. Now I rang them back to find more info as at the time I was at work and tired so didnt really think. Has anyone else run into this kind of problem, and if so what has your experience been like in VM being able to solve the problem? The ironic thing here is that there is a hosue 3/4 houses down from mine in the estate that has VM...the installation guys checked when they arrived as they where like "wheres the cable" as they needed that to do their part of the job lol
