ok i installed virtual pc 7 on a g3 800MHz mac, it emulates a p2 with mmx 3 words: sucks, takes forever, slugglish (even with linux it still is slow) are there any better pc emulators out there? p.s. this is not intended to be spam, or a "flame starter"
Runs XP *acceptably* on my powerbook - but then, I only use it to run ProntoEdit, the layout editor for my universal remote control. Try faster hardware.
Why don't you install linux directly on the mac. Without using virtual PC. I used Virtual PC on a 1,5Ghz G4, with Windows XP. And that went "ok". It still sucked, don't get me wrong, but it worked. Its not meant to be used alot.. I just used it for office access, and even that didnt work that well. L
Win2k works OKish on my 1.33ghz ibook, but its my no means usable as an os, just to run the occasional program (I only have DC++ and Least installed, it all I need it for!).
