    ok i installed virtual pc 7 on a g3 800MHz mac, it emulates a p2 with mmx

3 words: sucks, takes forever, slugglish (even with linux it still is slow)

are there any better pc emulators out there?

p.s. this is not intended to be spam, or a "flame starter"

Runs XP *acceptably* on my powerbook - but then, I only use it to run ProntoEdit, the layout editor for my universal remote control.

    Try faster hardware. ;)

Why don't you install linux directly on the mac. Without using virtual PC. I used Virtual PC on a 1,5Ghz G4, with Windows XP. And that went "ok". It still sucked, don't get me wrong, but it worked.

Its not meant to be used alot.. I just used it for office access, and even that didnt work that well.

Win2k works OKish on my 1.33ghz ibook, but its my no means usable as an os, just to run the occasional program (I only have DC++ and Least installed, it all I need it for!).
