Windows virtumonde:how do i get rid of the damn thing?!

Hey all

I've had an install of windows on my pc for about 2 years now, and recently, NOD32's been throwing up errors, telling me its found a virtumonde virus.

quick google tells me its adware, and i tell nod32 to get rid of it. still hasnt got rid of it in like a few weeks.

so went and 'bought' Spyware Doctor 5.0 and ran that, found 186 infections! (no idea.lol) and told it to clean them. rebooted and everything, and its still throwing up some more errors, although its a lot less now though. and i've done a further 4 scan, clean, quarantine and delete cycles, still nothing.

i dont really want to have to reinstall, just want to get it back to some sort of useable state as theres a lot of roms that shouldn't really be on my pc and i cant be arsed to back them up along with all of my settings and shite with various programs and ROM development softwares.

i remember using a program aaaaaaaages ago in my win98se days that cleaned up after an uninstall of programs and basically cleaned up the computer, cant find it anywhere now, so was wondering if anyone had any comparable software?

Get CCleaner - even though it doesn't do that stuff automatically during an install, it has a great temp/useless file cleaner and registry cleaner. That actually might help.
