Dint try creating a NTFS partion in an extended fat32 partiton by any chance?
If you have deleted all partitons, then you should have no issues formating it to NTFS.

Glad to hear you got it sorted keef247 :thumb:

But what is with this whole "blame Vista" attitude everyone seems to have adopted.

Likely, it was nothing to do with vista, even less chance the fact it was the 64 bit version.

If you had trouble installing Linux on a clean partition (which I have :)) you wouldn't "blame linux" because it's viewed as the elitists weapon of choice. You'd be left with the mentality that you must be doing something wrong yourself, as others have done the same with no such trouble.

Along with vista's "dumbing down" seems to have come the wrath of anybody who encounters any type of problem with it (even when the problem is before it's installed!).

I've been using Vista 64 for some time now and whilst it admittedly had teething problems, it's a fantastic OS for home use.

Sorry for the rant and OT. I feel better now ;)

nah it was purely a joke mate.cause i knew it wasn't 64 bit nor vista i knew something was just throwing a fit haha hence why when i rebooted it worked fine.lol.sorry for the misconception of my wording lol.

Good rant. And I agree. I was also an early adpoter, and I'd never go back to XP.

Vista is faultless as long as you're not a numpty.
