I have just bought vista home premium oem and have installled it on my pc. I am in the process of building another pc for my mum and i was wondering if i could instead of buying another copy of vista home premium just buy the licence/sticker you put on the side of your case. Is this possible or will i have to buy another copy of vista?

When you buy a copy of Vista, what you're paying for is the license anyway, so both options are the same.

Badders is correct, but I don't believe you can buy just the sticker, and even if you can it'll cost exactly the same as the disk.

Is this about the difference between OEM and retail?

Not really, he's asking if buying just a license is cheaper than buying license + Disk.

    It's not.
