ok my mac is slowly but surely pushing my pc's usage down more everyday but i have yet to beable to completely let go. i hate having to reconnect dvi cables to my pc to do simple things like move a photoshop doc to share dir or turn off a program so could you guys suggest a good vnc program that doesn't require a b.a. in computer science to setup. thx

if they're both running Win XP just use Remote Desktop under Programs -> accessories -> communications
and enable it on the headless machine, my computer properties -> remote -> Allow users to connect remotely to this computer

edit: synergy wont work unless you have a monitor for the headless machine already and seeing as he specifically mentioned swapping dvi cables i guess he doesnt :p

Ones a Mac, so I think RMs out the question. why don’t you try Real VNC, its dam simple to set up and should be fine for what you want to do. linky
You could also enable the java viewer to VNC in from a browser incase you can’t find VNC client for the Mac

A B.A. is a batchelor of arts degree....

Computer science is a science degree... thus it's a BSC in computer science...

As Shadow_101 said install Real VNC on your PC then use Chicken of the VNC on your Mac. Works quite well.
