Does anyone know of anything I can make or buy that I can use to control the volume on my computer that plugs into an USB port?

Powermate is the way to go !!

It looks great and does the job, outstandingly good

its a bit overdo for a volumeknob (bit expensive) , but well worth it !

good luck , and post if you have it !!
