I thought we discussed this somewhere. The contestants get three votes outside of their community.
I can see where that option would be politically correct. Do the contestant and Extrafresh as the creator count as votes? I haven't checked. I R Lazy.

You need to stay in your own group so you can edit it, etc.
I won't count your membership to your own group as a vote.
-so contestants can be in 4 groups. Non-contestants voting can be in 3.
(The Computer King fanclub is not included.:D)

    Thank You!

    Thanks for the clarification.

I'll be placing my votes in just a few moments.

extrafresh doesn't count as a vote as he is the creator of the groups. he had said he would make a note of the 3 he chose. so if he gets back in time he can do that or he just wont have 3 votes.

@Dullonien - Pimp more! The number of voters is really low.
    -Check out Talladega's sig.:D

@Von Lazuli- You have 4 votes. You need to leave one group. (Don't be cruel. stay with Dullonien, though.)

lol, it's alright Von Lazuli, I won't mind if you leave my group. I produced my entire model in around 4-5 hours due to rediculous work loads in uni, so I wasn't expecting much.

I still like my idea, but my implementation is basic and quite boring if I'm honest. I'm also missing part of the design! I'll re-work my MITX renderfarm idea once uni's finished for summer, I'll have 4 months of free time on my hands (well, I'll have a job, but at least I'll have evenings free.)

    Good luck to all.

Edit: do you think I pimped my entry enough there Cheap? I won't have any votes if I carry on like this........... first telling people to vote for Scooby's, then telling everyone I don't even like my own design lol. Oh well

You really didn't have to do that my friend but thanks for the endorsement. I think (on your part) it was just bad timing. I know if you had a bit more time you would be right up their we the rest of us.

I didn't spend a lot of time on my design either, I wanted to add more stuff to it...if you can believe that.

But good luck bro and I know you'll have more awesome design soon.:thumb:

The box would definitely be easier to do a full render for the glory shot. I'll stick by my vote for the radiator skis.

The work around works (around:)), but it seems a bit silly and time consuming to have to do it every time, especially with so many people to vote for and when trying to get as many people to vote as possible.
    Any chance of a fixaroo?

EDIT: General send-off-into-the-ether-and-hope-mods-respond type question, not aimed specifically at cheapskate :thumb:

The contestants have the option of adding the pics to the comment area. That's all I'm going to about it. I'm lazy, and more importantly; I have no control over the groups.

    Voted!

It is a shame that some people did not add pics.
Too bad this election is not on the front page, there is too few voters.

The question remains...What do we do about the USB key prize? Does it still exist even? One of the judges went off planet even... It's getting lonely in here!

All fizzled out hasn't it? Pitty, as the comp was buzzing untill that break! I'm not convinced with the groups way of voting. A simple poll works the best, but I suppose that only allows one vote each?

I think we should just follow the simpler format similar to motm etc. even if that only means one vote each. It'll be less hassle for the voters, hopefully resulting in more of them.

Please run another one over summer. I'll get started on some designs anyway and hope one fits the bill if something does go ahead.

Edit: oh and I've got another vote :) cheers bigkingfun.

I sent my prize donation to mnpctech. Maybe Bill needs to get involved in the prize distribution.

Those who can compete - those who can't donate.

I think this was a fun exercise and drew a nice collection of entries.

Well done to all the contestants.

I was not prepared for Extrafresh's departure. I should have looked into a different method for the voting. I also should have implemented a back up plan to keep the momentum. I also admit that wearing too many hats in the community has nipped me in the butt.

I apologize to all of you for letting this comp lose it's momentum.

At the end of the day, this contest was still the most successful so far. I would enjoy organizing a metting with some of you off list over Skype, some night to discuss better solutions for organizing the next contest.

Confusis will be announcing the winner. The decision was up to us after Extrafresh's departure.
