Is there a good tutorial around that explains how I could make something that normally plugs into a wall outlet plug into a Molex connector? I've got a nice idea for my next computer mod but I need this to be possible. :)

well u need a dc converter like the things that charge rc cars or the thing that runs some wireless phones. u can get these at radioshack just make sure its 12v and cut the connector off the end, and then just mach up the molex....yellow+ black - (on the dc converter instead of yellow it may be red)
or you could use a spare power supply :thumb:

Do you really need to take something that is amde for AC and connect it to the DC Molex or are you just going for the look?? It might help if we had some idea of what you are trying to do...

Well I need something that plugs into the wall to not have to plug into the wall anymore, and since it's going to be in my computer I figured that a molex connector would work best. I am thinking that I COULD just keep the wall socket if I absolutely needed to (I'm not one for electric stuff so maybe I'll just say screw making the molex thing work) but for looks it'd be better to use a molex connector.

Whatever the case may be I don't want to have to plug this thing that will be in my computer into the wall anymore. :p

    It's just a 16-port switch.

good its 12v.........(the easy way) find out whitch wire is posistive usually marked on th box or a white wire, cut the cord off the box positive to yellow and negative to black. or the harder way it to open the case solder wires to th +- traces and then splice into a molex :thumb:

Or you could buy one of these ( or whichever one is the right size) and still have the plug pack intact...
