    Hi,

    Well instead of me spending £50 on a case, i thought to myself... why not mod :)

    Ive been looking around the project logs and there ALL nice :D

    Im thinking whether to build my own case, from scrap... or whether to buy one on ebuyer and start to mod it.

    What do you guys think??

    I also need a theme.... basically i know one thing i want to do, do underlighting for my case... in blue ccfls (i already got them) and im wondering whther to do UV. Not too sure though as ive braided my psu already.

    Lemme know on your ideas guys :thumb: I also would prefer black. But if its silver and i like the case ill just have to spray it :D

    painting can work out quite nice ...
    i painted my own case from white/blue -> black/alu

    and done that same(model) case to red/black ...

    just make sure you use a decent primer and sand it well enough

    good luck

    the result will be interesing at least ...

    but personally i would get a case and remove all panels and cover it with mesh after panels are removed ... or even window the case with mesh instead of plexi ... haven't seen that around...

    watch out for dust ...

    Ok... So what's the difference between having a mesh vent allowing atmospheric dust to drift into a case and having suction fans ripping the stuff into the case in vast quantities?

    fans are cooler ! visually at least ( if i could stand the noise i would get an industrial 200 mm fan 230v~ in my case panel)

    It'd be cool but a LOT more hard work unless you have bits like the mobo tray from a scrapped case. Lot easier to mod an existing one but you can really let your imagination go wild if you do make the leap into a fully custom PC :D :rock:
