Heh nice idea, just hope it doesn't break as im pretty sure Apple wouldn't like that being returned to them!
I assume it'll be bought by that online casino company which buys all the tat like this...
its a good idea, but lots of people will try and do it.....
looks quite nice aswell.
Only if she etched the virgin mary in it and sait it came from the factory like that.
amazing how she got some of those companies to pay her for advertising.
Gotta hand it to her, she showed some initiative and got a (presumably) free laptop out of it. Many people will probably try to copy her, but I doubt any will be as successfull as she at it.
Pretty cool imo...
I wonder how well an overweight, balding, middle aged guy would have done? - or any guy for that matter - I bet he'd sell a lot fewer $30 beers. (although in San Francisco ...?)
Great idea...just like the scottish uni student who raised $1m through selling blocks of 10x10pixels for advertising on a website.
I actually think the top looks pretty cool like that and all the adverts are very crisp.
I think adding her photo at the bottom helped quite a bit!
A free unique Macbook, well done to her!
I'd love it.
I should slap her for saying Digg won't last as long as those laser-etchings!
WOW this girl was crazy enough to etch adds on her laptop, then turn around a dis the people that gave her money. Sounds like one of those bumbs on the street asking for money then turning around saying thanks $Y*&$* this will feed my crack fix.
If any one trys this int he future, thank the people after.
No dis-respect intended, nice idea and all that. But it seems like begging taken to a new level. Like no longer a case of " Please could you spare some money I'm homeless and starving", but now it's " Please could you spare some money I need a new Hi-spec laptop computer".
Or, more like
"We're so desperate for new advertising ideas we'll shell out $150 per Square inch in a student's laptop that no one will ever see"
excellent idea, well done to her. It looks pretty cool, I wouldn't be ashamed using that in starbucks.
