Oh and I'd suggest going with the russian for the free tier 1 premium. After an air-win streakx8 in a tier 5 battle I can confirm that it's epic.
Forgot to add about the new tier 1's, it helped produce my highest score so far - 4157 I was laughing like a complete maniac as everything I shot at just erupted into flames immediately. Not often I get battles like that.
So while this is downloading at home, my big question (which more likely than not, no one here can answer) is how's the ping? I play LoL to the EUW servers at 220ms on an OK day in the early AM (i.e. when I do most of my gaming). How badly will I suffer here?
Ping seems to be not bad. Based on my UK ADSL connection which speedtests at ~47ms ping, 4 to 6meg download speed I get around 50ms on EU servers, 107ms on Russian and 145ms on US. It fluctuate a little as sometimes I'll get less than 70ms on Russian or over 140ms on EU though. I can't really offer more than that since I don't play LoL.
Seems in line with what LOL playing peeps get on EUW as well, thanks, Throbbi. Now to let that download finish (1MB/s for 6 gig... fun and games) and see if it's playable from the arse end of the planet.
I am getting about 220ms...so just like World of Tanks, LoL and Dota 2 before we got our own server. I have noticed that it sometimes jumps up to 300 for no apparent reason. ( I have 2 other friends that play it and it jumps to 300 at the same time it does for me) At the moment I am just ripping everything apart in My BF109 F4 and F4/trop...I managed to unlock the stealth and ammunition belt for armoured targets and it either rips off wings and tails or insta-kills the pilot xD I was getting a bit annoyed with people having to ram the whole time, but as of late people are trying to avoid rams, which is quite nice...

Damn you bit-tech. I saw this thread and took a look and i was instantly engrossed. I'm now having quite a lot of fun.
The BF109s are amazing. The new patch did awesome things with the Type 99 Zero cannons. And nerfed the Ki-61 even more into the ground. Shame about the Americans.
Yeah it does. Just set the controls up. But you really want to play with mouse and keyboard for everything but Full real battles...maybe use the pad in historical, but mouse is better I find... [EDIT] I just bought the Aircobra.....and it is the best troll aircraft in the game. I got 30 kills in 4 games with it. That's just crazy!!
Yeah. No the best troll aircraft is by far the Ju-87 G series. I need to get the airacobra. But I don't have the heart to level it to 6 ecause the US doesn't seem very good.
For trolling you also have the Me410-U4 with the 50mm cannon. Inaccurate, poor handling but when you hit things they just disappear. 1 shotted many a Mitchell with that Other fun trollers include Yak-9T (but the world will hate you), Boomerang and my personal favourite anything with rockets
