    WASD for life! Last time I used arrows was Doom.

    I'm curious though, have the lefties who said they used arrows tried IJKL?

    ↑ ↓ = forward/backward
    ← → = strafe left/right
    Ctrl = switch weapon forward
    Shift = Misc (crouch, special, etc.)

    Mouse = turning, looking up/down
    Left click = primary fire
    Right click = jump
    Wheel/Middle click = secondary fire (if available)

    Sometimes I use the numberpad if I have to go to a specific weaon really really fast.

    wasd for movement. mouse for, fire, secondary fire, sprint/slow, reload and crouch.

    if other keys are needed they are around wasd.

    and im left handed!

    I used to use the arrow keys with quake 1 and some in 2 but then switched over to wasd keys and have never regreted it :thumb:

    these are the ones I mostly use in old games like rtcw which I still play

    w s = forward/backward
    a d = strafe left/right
    q e = lean left/right

    r = reload
    f, enter = use
    z = zoom
    b = binocular

    c = crouch
    space = jump
    shift = sprint

    I use the numbers 1 - 6 to select weapons etc all the time

    mouse = turning, looking up/down
    left click, ctrl = primary fire
    right click = special use
    wheel click = grenades
    wheel up/dn = cycle weapons when there is time for it

    F8 = cycle soldier type
    F9 = cycle lieutenant weapons
    F10 = medic

    home end = fast switch to enginer allied / axis side

    F11 = yes
    F12 = no

    p = drop weapon, which I seldom do
    m = game menu

    t y = chat all / chat team

    Old mouse keys that worked with windows xp SP-1 but not in SP-2
    front thumb click = F1 = main weapon
    back thumb click = F5 = don´t remember any more :D
    wheel click = del = grenades

    I don´t use the alt key as I have some nView commands on it...
    alt + x = transparent desktop on / off
    alt + a d = previous / next desktop
    alt + z = zoom window
    ...A lesson hard lernt when in the midst of some intense gaming all of a sudden the game froze for 1 minute or so while changing desktop in the background I later figured out :wallbash:

    btw my new MX1000 I sometime use as it is more accurate but since it is very slow when using the thumb buttons which causes windows to stall for 1-3 seconds every time :duh: I don´t use them

    edit: somthin... :D

    Same here, but with reload and crouch as R and CTRL. Too much empty space around the arrows.

    Simple. For sprinting, I turn on the appropriate "always run" feature. For the rest, I just don't play games that require that much realism. Heck, I almost never use the crouch button unless my person physically doesn't fit into a space while standing.

    If I have to worry about things like reloading and leaning, it just detracts from the game. But that's just my taste. Your mileage may vary.

    run != sprint
    sprint is usually something that you can only do for a limited time, it has a stamina bar or something :)
    have to say i dont use lean very often but crouching and reloading are vital imo

    The strange thing is, because I don't touch-type, when I sit down at my desk @ work my left hand automatically rests in the WASD position, thumb on space bar, and pinkie on Shift...

    I forgot to mention that a Natural Keyboard makes the WASD layout even better when you got the keyboard on ypur lap, better for typing also

    I started out as a firm believer of the arrows. The keys themselves were self-explanatory. You wanted left, you pressed left. I tried to use wasd a few times, to little success.

    Then, for some reason, I started to use wasd and the arrow keys barely get a look in these days (except for excel or word - having wasd randomly in a document would look kinda weird).

    I have probably the weirdest controls around. I use WASD for most other games, arrows for driving games, and for my favorite Unreal Tournament I use:

    Left Mouse - Forward
    Right Mouse - Backward
    Z - dodge left
    I - dodge right
    Space - primary fire
    Alt - Sec fire
    U - jump
    J - crautch
    R - translocator

    and etc...
