Bell & Ross make some cool looking watches - based on an aircraft instrument look:

They might be a bit off-budget though.

Some of the newer TAGs look nice as well - I like the Grand Carrera's

I have one of these, and love it to bits:

I wanted the Calibre 36 but it was too expensive. Plus for some reason i don't want to buy a watch linked with a car.

I bought my Tag from Goldsmiths, good service and a pretty good range for a high street chain.

Used is a good idea but I am a little wary. What kinda places should I be looking at if i take that route?

Those watches are all nice, but I'm after something a lot more traditional looking, frankly.

I would guesstimate at either a decently reputable jeweller/watch place or an enthusiast forum with a classifieds section.

These are amazing, but what you don't realise until you try them on is that in terms of area they are literally 1:1 with cockpit instruments. This thing is so huge it's an effort to move your arm. My current favourite, though utterly not in keeping with the desire for a traditional-looking watch, is this almost-certainly-never-going-to-make-production tape-measure design.

    +1 for a Seiko

I have a Kinetic Arctura and although it is little heavy it really is bulletproof.

Seiko's are just pure diamonds. But I'm not a fan of Kinetic Watches since you have to slingshot them to Finland and back for them to get up and running after not using it for a few days.

It's free service I offer. I ensure that you know about expensive shiney things you didn't know you wanted. I can also dispose of your income so that you don't have to. Not got the funds? I can put you in touch with certain people that can get you cash quick. After all, you don't need 2 kidneys, do you? ;)

Lol, no unfortunately I don't have 4 and a 1/2 grand spare. If I did though, there'd be one of those on my wrist in the morning. It's stunning!

Now, about those people you know... :hehe:

I know the feeling. I felt the same before I got my LINK. Especially after seeing the other side:

    Automatic Chronometer Cheesecake! :)

Still like the GC Calibre 17. I believe Hamster has one, and I'm sure I saw one on his wrist during several Top Gear episodes.

I've been looking for a nice dress watch, and I think that this would fit the bill:

Pity I don't have £1700 spare. And those people I mentioned can't help - I only have one kidney left after paying for the Gooster. ;)
