    Hi,

I have a customers water cooled PC in my shop, and he wants me to fit a water block on his replacement graphics card. as the old block does not fit. The new card is a GV-N98TSL-1GI. Does anyone have any suggestions? The tubing is Tygon R3603. (not sure what other info you might need)

I did explain that I have not had too much experience with water cooled systems but he seemed happy for me to have a look at it.

I am assuming it's (in simple terms) just a question of draining the system, replacing the block and tubing, and then refilling/bleeding the system.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Les

PS I can probably upload some photos if it helps.

More than happy to help, just throw up and overall photo with the panel off.

May i ask what he has upgraded from, because my fear is the 9800 potentially could introduce more of a heat loading on the current system and may not be worth while in watercooling the card.

Thanks for the replies guys here's some pics (sorry about the quality as they were just taken on my phone) Not sure if the new card is reference design, it also appears that not all the memory chips are in contact with the heatsink.

The system was made by Vadim and the cooling system is LiquoCool Antarttic TX Extreme.

    System...

    Old block...

    New card with heatsink removed...

oh boy, finding a full cover block is a little tricky for this one as the power regulators on that card are passively cooled, which means it is not a reference design.

Best bet to water cool this card with a core only waterblock like the EK-VGA supreme

    Link to product

Then fit passive heatsinks to the memory modules.

You don't have to use the EK block, it is only an example however the quality of the product justifies the cost, compared to other brands.
