I ran across this fan while checking out some web sites. Can anyone tell me if they have seen (or used or heard of) this before. Sure is unique looking, I just wonder if it really works or not. Also it says the pump is magnetic, would that screw with the cpu or not?
this cooler is ****. ABSOLUTE POS. It offers none of the advantages of watercooling. Do not buy it. There is already a thread about this somewhere....
Thanks, I had my doubts about it but ya never know, I have been fooled before thinking something wouldn't work and it did. Figured if I asked around someone would know.
I see no reason for that 'thing' at all. If you want to watercool, then just learn how to do it, save some money, and do it yourself. The liquid in that 'thing' would just get hot, anyway, and I don't see any way to cool it. What a waste of engineering hours....
i can't reason for it to actually work.. first: the heatsing is so small that it would fit on the CPU anyway... second: there is so little liquid in it so it would be wery hot wery fast anyway... third: if this DO work.. it would still transfer the heat inside in the case.. and not outside (top) to you would still need just as many casefans...
Wonder why he didn't try it on a real CPU. 0.62C/W or 62C isn't that bad. Maybe for watercooling but it can hardly be called watercooling....
I read a German review about it. It SUCKED... It was worse than most plain air coolers, definately not a good buy! All of these companies are trying to make watercooling mainsteam and are creating the crappiest products. These cheap-o products, like the ones, which fit in drivebays, etc. are worthless in my opinion. Rather get a large aircooler or invest in some quality water cooling and don't waste your money!
what the **** is that? I mean... there's no logical reason for that thing to exist... lol ah well... I'm sure some people will get it
