Hi all! Hopefully this is in the right section? Im currently a bit bored and and wondering if its realistic to water cool an xbox? The standard fan seems so noisy! I actually sold mine a few months back - but am thinking of getting another to play with. Bits im wondering about are mainly cpu waterblock issues. Has anyone here taken the mobo out of one? What sort of cooling does the unit have?

    Cheers!

P.S. just say if this is going to be an utter disaster if you reckon it is (in your opinion!) :thumb:

A bit pointless due to the Xbox's GPU being passively cooled. The only fan in the system is an 80mm case fan at the back.

Unless you move it to a different case or use an external wcing there's no space for a fully internal setup.

My XBox has an actively cooled GPU (40mm delta on top of the very thin sink). It's an original 2002 model (not so much a 1.0 as a 0.9..... don't ask :D) and is noisy as hell!
